Stephanie Anderson
Vice President of Underwriting
ABOUT STEPHANIE
Stephanie Anderson is the Vice President of Underwriting at Ardellis, where she is responsible for underwriting strategy, portfolio management, risk assessment, and organizational development for the Excess Property & Casualty division.
Stephanie has over a decade of multi-line underwriting leadership experience within admitted and non-admitted markets. She is results oriented with extensive experience in developing strategic underwriting policies, optimizing business processes, and leading high-performing teams to meet the needs of the organization and their distribution partners. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Michigan State University, and has earned several professional designations, including AINS, API, AU, AIC, and CPCU. She continues to take courses through The Institutes and is currently pursuing her MBA in Insurance.
Outside of work, Stephanie’s favorite place to be is the beach with a book, her kids, and her dogs. She also enjoys camping, playing cards, doing puzzles, and volunteering within her community.
Bryan Pung
Director of Business Development
ABOUT BRYAN
Bryan Pung is the Director of Business Development at Ardellis, where he focuses on building strong partnerships, driving growth, and creating opportunities that deliver results.
Bryan brings over two decades of comprehensive insurance expertise, spanning agency operations, underwriting across multiple lines of coverage, and strategic business development. A graduate of Central Michigan University and a CPCU designee, he continually enhances his industry knowledge through ongoing professional development and active engagement within the insurance community.
Outside of work, Bryan enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing hockey, and hitting the golf course. He values building meaningful connections and is always open to sharing ideas and collaborating
Steve Sklar
Senior Marketing Underwriter
ABOUT STEVE
Steve Sklar is a Senior Marketing Underwriter at Ardellis, focused on growing and managing Ardellis’ Excess Property and Casualty book of business. He is passionate about strengthening our relationship with our current brokers as well as identifying relationships with new partners to expand our footprint.
Steve has been in the insurance industry for over 25 years working for carriers, brokers, managing general agents, and retail agencies. His unique background has helped him to develop strong relationships and understand the perspective and needs of our agency, broker, and DUAE partners. Steve has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at West Chester University of Pennsylvania along with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at the University of Massachusetts – Lowell. Steve has his Property & Casualty License and has earned seven professional designations along the way including CPCU, ASLI & ARM, API, AIS, AINS, & INSIT.
In his spare time, Steve is an avid hiker, constantly chasing waterfalls and challenging himself by conquering the abundance of local mountain ranges. He loves sports of all kinds (playing & watching). He is a lifelong learner, passionate about growing and expanding his industry expertise, including taking courses and attending seminars whenever he can.
Maxwell Bouma
Associate Commercial E&S Underwriter
ABOUT MAXWELL
Maxwell Bouma is an Associate Commercial E&S Underwriter at Ardellis, where he assists in underwriting excess property and liability risks, supporting broker relationships, and evaluating coverage. Max brings a credible and diverse foundation in underwriting, with experience spanning both medical stop loss and commercial E&S lines.
Before joining the Property & Casualty team, he worked as an underwriter and claims analyst with the Ardellis medical stop loss division, where he gained valuable insight into high-cost healthcare risk evaluation. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business from Grand Valley State University and is currently working toward his CPCU designation.
Outside of work, Max enjoys golfing and running. He also values spending time with friends and family.
Tim Gutierrez
Underwriting Assistant

Timothy Gutierrez is an Underwriting Assistant at Ardellis, where he plays a key role in supporting the underwriting team and ensuring smooth client account management. With a strong focus on data accuracy and organizational efficiency, Tim contributes to the development of underwriting strategies and delivers responsive service to clients. His commitment to excellence, passion for learning, and interest in improving processes with data and technology have made him an asset to the team.
Outside of work, Tim enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and fishing, and is actively involved in volunteering with local community organizations.
Heidy Aleman
Underwriting Assistant
ABOUT HEIDY
Heidy Aleman is an Underwriting Assistant at Ardellis. She supports the underwriting team with accurate, efficient handling of quotes, bind orders, and invoices. She is known for clear communication, responsive client service, and identifying practical ways to streamline workflows.
Heidy has over a decade of insurance experience in various roles on both the carrier and agency side, including claims, account management, billing, and customer service.
Outside of work, Heidy enjoys going to the gym, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with her daughter.
